She spent six years as a Preschool Teacher before working as a Child Care Consultant. Janelle is a proud graduate of Iowa State University, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Child and Family Services between 1998 and 2002.

Personal Background

Originally from Carroll, Iowa, Janelle grew up in Manning. Her educational pursuits led her to live in Ames for 14 years before she and her family settled in their current home in Winterset, Iowa. As a child, Janelle had aspirations of being a teacher, wife, and mom, goals she has happily achieved.

Janelle is married to Michael, and they recently celebrated 13 years of marriage. They have one daughter, Abilene, who keeps them busy with a variety of sports, including gymnastics, basketball, and softball. The Peiffer household also includes a beloved long-haired orange cat named Jeffory, who has been a family member for over ten years.
